Youth Mobility Scheme Visa – Experience Life and Work in the UK

Comprehensive Legal Support from London’s Leading Solicitors

The Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) Visa offers young adults from select countries the opportunity to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years — with no job offer or sponsor required.

At Right Law Solicitors, we help eligible applicants navigate the application process quickly and correctly — including support for biometric appointments, document verification, and legal submissions to ensure your entry into the UK is smooth and stress-free.

What Is the Youth Mobility Scheme Visa?

The YMS Visa is a non-sponsored visa for individuals aged 18–30 (or 35, depending on country) from eligible countries or territories. It allows you to:

  • Live in the UK for up to 2 years
  • Work in most types of employment
  • Be self-employed under certain conditions
  • Travel in and out of the UK freely

This visa does not lead to settlement, but it provides a unique opportunity to gain international experience, make connections, and explore life in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be aged 18 to 30 or 35 depending on your nationality
  • Be a citizen of an eligible country or territory (see list below)
  • Have at least £2,530 in savings
  • Not have any dependants (children or partner living with you)
  • Not have previously held a Youth Mobility or Working Holiday visa for the UK

No sponsorship required (unless you’re applying from a country that uses the Deemed Sponsorship Model).
