What Is the UK Student Visa?
The Student Visa (formerly Tier 4 General) allows non-UK nationals to:
- Study a full-time or part-time course at an approved UK educational provider
- Work part-time during term time and full-time during holidays (in most cases)
- Bring eligible dependants if studying a postgraduate or government-sponsored course
- Travel in and out of the UK freely
- Apply for extensions or switch to a Graduate Visa or Skilled Worker Visa
The visa is usually granted for the length of the course + additional time before and after.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for a UK Student Visa, you must:
- Hold a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a licensed UK sponsor
- Be aged 16 or over
- Demonstrate financial readiness (tuition + living costs)
- Meet the English language requirement
- Prove you are a genuine student
We support first-time applicants, rejections, switching visas, and extension applications.
