Transfer Your Global Talent to the UK with Legal Clarity
Senior or Specialist Worker Visa – Global Business Mobility
Comprehensive Legal Support from London’s Leading Solicitors
The Senior or Specialist Worker Visa, under the Global Business Mobility (GBM) route, enables international companies to transfer key staff from overseas branches to their UK operations. Whether you’re relocating a senior executive, project specialist, or skilled employee, this visa allows global businesses to move talent where it’s needed — without unnecessary delays.
At Right Law Solicitors, we support both employers and employees through every stage of the visa process. From UK sponsor licence applications to visa approvals and compliance, our expert immigration solicitors in London make global mobility seamless and fully compliant.
What Is the Senior or Specialist Worker Visa?
The Senior or Specialist Worker Visa is the updated version of the Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) visa. It allows employees of multinational organisations to come to the UK and work in a skilled role at a UK-based branch or subsidiary.
Unlike the Skilled Worker visa, it does not lead directly to settlement but allows for long-term assignments in the UK and can be a stepping stone to ILR via other routes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be 18 or over
- Be employed by a company that holds a valid UK sponsor licence under the GBM route
- Have worked for the overseas entity for at least 12 months (unless earning £73,900+ annually)
- Be offered a skilled role in an eligible occupation
- Be paid a salary of at least £48,500/year or £23.18/hour (whichever is higher)
- Have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
The visa can be granted for up to 5 years, and extended up to a maximum of 9 years, depending on the salary level.
