What Is the Health and Care Worker Visa?
This visa allows medical and care professionals to live and work in the UK with a reduced salary threshold, faster processing, and reduced visa fees.
It offers:

- Exemption from Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)
- Dependants welcome (partner and children)
- Route to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 5 years

Eligibility Requirements
- Have a job offer from a UK-licensed sponsor in the health or care sector
- Be assigned a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
- Have a job on the eligible occupation list
- Be paid at least £23,200/year or £10.75/hour, or meet the national pay scale (for NHS roles)
- Meet the English language requirement (B1 level)
- Pass a tuberculosis test (if from a listed country)
- Hold relevant qualifications and registration (e.g. NMC, GMC, HCPC)
